Day 2

Thimphu

Distance 160 kms | Driving Time: 5 hrs

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
After immigration, proceed towards Thimphu.
Enjoy the beautiful journey through scenic landscapes.
En route, pass Dharma Kaya Stupa and Chuzom Bridge—the confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers.
Arrive in Thimphu by evening and check in to your hotel.
Leisure time in the evening.

Day 3

Punakha

Distance: 75 km one way | Driving Time: 2.5 hrs each way

After breakfast, drive to Punakha.
Visit Dochula Pass (3,150 m), known for its 108 memorial stupas and panoramic mountain views.
Explore Punakha Dzong, the second-oldest and arguably most beautiful dzong in Bhutan, which served as the capital until the mid-1950s.
Visit Punakha Suspension Bridge—one of the longest and oldest in Bhutan.
Return to Thimphu by evening.

Day 4

Thimphu

Distance: 50 km | Driving Time: 1.5 hrs

After breakfast, proceed for Thimphu local sightseeing:
Buddha Dordenma Statue: A massive statue overlooking the Thimphu valley.
Simply Bhutan Museum: Experience local culture—taste ara (local wine), play archery, meet Pema Tshering (the foot carver), enjoy a cultural show, and try Bhutanese butter tea.
National Memorial Chorten: A Tibetan-style stupa built in 1974.
Royal Takin Preserve: Home to the Takin, Bhutan's national animal.
Bhutan Postal Museum: Create your own personalized postage stamps.
Later, drive to Paro. Arrive by evening and check in to your hotel.

Day 5

Paro

(Distance: 6.4 km | Duration: 3–5 hrs | Elevation: 900 m | Altitude: 10,245 ft)

After breakfast, hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff.
The hike is of easy to moderate difficulty and suitable for those with average fitness.
For those unable to hike, horses are available for hire at the base.
After the hike, enjoy a rejuvenating traditional hot stone bath in the countryside (optional).
Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 6

Phuentsholing

(Distance: 150 km | Driving Time: 4.5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
Drive to Chele La Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan at 13,000 ft.
Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Jomolhari (22,000 ft), and the region’s rich flora and fauna.
In the afternoon, drive back to Phuentsholing with scenic stopovers.
Arrive in Phuentsholing by evening and check in to your hotel.
